Companion Programs

Santa Fe and its environs will be a delight for family members and friends attending the Conference. Companions have the choice of electing the full package of events listed below or selecting one or two of the events listed (see Registration on this web site).

Wednesday, June 14 Welcome Breakfast/Reception for accompanying persons
Friday, June 16 Family Excursion and picnic at Rancho de Las Golondrinos (Spanish colonial farm)
Sunday, June 18 Concert by Santa Fe Opera Apprentices

During the Wednesday morning Welcome Breakfast in the Ortiz Ballroom at the Hilton Hotel, you will receive information about Santa Fe shopping, art galleries, museums, and restaurants. Companions will also be encouraged to join one of three introductory tours of Santa Fe.  You can register for these tours on the Registration portion of the website.

Friday will be an  excursion to Rancho de las Golondrinas, a  Spanish Colonial living museum. Visitors will experience demonstrations of work on an eighteenth century Spanish farm and have leisure time to explore the many aspects of life during the 17th and 18th century. This is definitely a family event with animals and demonstrations for children as well as adults. Lunch will be picnic-syle with several choices.

Sunday evening, the beautiful voices of the select group of Santa Fe Opera Apprentices will sing excepts from operas for your listening pleasure.

Companions are welcome to purchase tickets (see Registration) to attend the Conference Banquet on Saturday night, June 17.
