We highly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation protection. As stated in the information about registration, refunds for conference registration and refunds for optional trips, less a handling fee, will be made if notice is received in writing by Royal Road Tours on or by the deadlines associated with the conference and optional tours. No refunds will be made after that date. Trip cancellation protection will enable you to be reimbursed for the loss of your payment for the trip cost if you are unable to travel for any of the covered reasons in the "Outline of Coverage" section, or should you have an accident or medical condition during the trip. Should illness or an unforeseen event force you to cancel your travel plans after your final payment or during your trip, it would be doubly unfortunate to incur asignificant financial loss. If you do not purchase travel protection, check your current medical policy to make sure you have coverage.

Please be aware that Travel Insured International does not cover the loss of airline tickets or cash. It is important that you keep your air tickets in a safe place during the trip. Being forced to buy a one-way ticket can be very expensive—frequently more expensive than the roundtrip ticket on which you arrived. Also, please keep in mind that cash stolen is cash that will never be recovered. We suggest that you check with your home insurance to see if air tickets and other personal items are covered under your policy.
